The 18 AB-16-9 occurrence is located approximately 16 kilometres southeast of Ferriston Peak between the Osilinka and Omineca rivers, about 68 kilometres northwest of the community of Germansen Landing.

The showing is underlain by Duckling Creek suite syenite in the Early Jurassic to Early Cretaceous Hogem Plutonic Suite in Quesnel terrane. The Duckling Creek suite, previously referred to as the Duckling Creek Syenite Complex, is mostly syenite to monzonite, with lesser monzodiorite and local biotite pyroxenite.

Mineralization is observed as malachite alteration and disseminated sulphides in amphibole- and pyroxene-rich zones of syenite. In 2018, a grab sample (18ab-16-9) yielded assay results of 2620 parts per million copper, 186 parts per billion gold, and 2.1 parts per million silver. A grab sample (18bg-28-2) taken about 300 metres east of the previous sample analyzed 6800 parts per million copper, 300 parts per billion gold, and 5.7 parts per million silver (Fieldwork 2018, page 49).

The showing was mapped by the British Columbia Geological Survey during a regional bedrock mapping program in the Hogem batholith in 2018.
